The core of everything. You enter the high-humidity steam room while our practitioner performs the venik ritual using birch or oak brooms, working the steam across the body to stimulate circulation, loosen muscle tissue, and drive heat deep into the joints.
After the heat phase comes the contrast. Our ice bath is infused with medicinal herbs, which adds a sensory and therapeutic layer that a plain cold plunge can't match. The temperature drop forces the vascular system to respond, clears inflammation, and resets the nervous system between rounds.
The Pravilo is an ancient Slavic stretching apparatus that decompresses the spine and releases physiological and psychological holding patterns. Very few places in California offer access to this. For extended contrast cycling, we have a cold pool for guests who want to continue the heat-cold protocol across multiple banya rounds.
